Harps and Liars - Bringing Music to the Bike Temple

Every religion needs music. The melodic repetition of beliefs and mantra is essential to memorization and uplift, and the creation and customization of new and existing musical pieces is part of the fun of having a house of worship.

Thus, call to you, the loyal reader/member/follower/interested soul to submit your ideas for lyrical and joyful melody. Do you have a favorite hymn that could be tailored to fit the Bike Temple? Are you crafty with composition, and wish to write your own?

Starting now I will be compiling a Bike Temple Hymnal, so please email us your ideas, original works, or bastardizations of those that already exist.
As fodder for the brain, I submit to you a lyrical customization of "What if God Was One of Us", a work of the Church of the Tall Bike of Salt Lake City. Enjoy, and let the music take your soul.

If God had a bike
What would it be, and would you ride it
If you were faced with him and found he rode a Huffy
What would you ask if you had just one question?

Yeah, yeah- God is great
Yeah, yeah- Bike is good
Yeah, yeah- Yeah (x3)

CHORUS
What if God was one us
Rode a bike among all of us
Just a stranger on cruiser, trying to make his way home..

If God had a fixed
What would it look like and would you want to see
The twirling pink aerospokes in the wind
In things like neon, obama spoke cards and shorts too skinny

Yeah, yeah- God is great
Yeah, yeah- Bike is good
Yeah, yeah- Yeah (x3)

CHORUS
What if God was one of us
Rode a bike among all of us
Just a stranger on cruiser, trying to make his way home..

Trying to make his way home
Flat tire guess he needs to pray home
Nobody callin' on the phone
'Cept for the Flying Scot in the Velodrome...

Yeah, yeah- God is great
Yeah, yeah- Bike is good
Yeah, yeah- Yeah (x3)

CHORUS

Trying to make his way home
Flat tire guess he needs to pray home
Nobody callin' on the phone
'Cept for the Flying Scot in the Velodrome...
