"The Bike Above All Others" - An interview with Salt Lake City's Church of the Tall Bike

When the Bike Temple recently heard about SLC's newest cycle sect, the Church of the Tall Bike, we knew that good things were happening. The following is an interview with the founder, Zed.Deacon Amos: Tell us about yourself.
Zed: I am a cycle enthusiast that enjoys bike culture. I started saltcycle.com to get more people out on bikes. I started the church of the tall bike to feel closer to Bicycle Jesus.

Dea: What is the church of the tall bike?
Zed: The Church of the Tall Bike is religion like no other. While tall bikes are akin to the Jesus's of the faith, we love all of the bicycles especially the 16 inchers, the children.

Dea: What is the bike scene like in Salt Lake City?
Zed: Cycling in Salt Lake is just starting to take off. It has great potential with the wide streets, progressive government and jousting of the tall bikes. We have great organizations, like the SLC bike collective, so we have a lot of potential.

Dea: How do you picture Bicycle Heaven?
Zed: Bike Heaven. Bicycle Heaven. Whatever it is called, its not after you die. Its in your ride. The air you breathe, the sun down on you on a warm spring day. The freedom of the ride.

Zed also sent us the "13 articles of Church of the Tall Bike" which I hope to post soon. Thanks to Zed for the interview, we wish you and the Church of the Tall Bike heaps of bicycle blessings.
